New Delhi ,Sep 24: WhatsApp has brought bad news for some of its users. The instant messaging app is shutting down WhatsApp support for iOS 8. WABetaInfo tweeted that Apple’s operating system iOS 8 (Apple operating system ios 8) will not get WhatsApp support. But , if WhatsApp is downloaded in the phone, then do not uninstall it for any reason, after doing this, you will not be able to reinstall or verify the account again.

Whatsapp ‘s compatibility on iPhones running iOS 8 or older operating systems is being retired from February 1, 2020. At the same time, WhatsApp will not work for Android users on 2.3.7 or older OS.

Users who are using this operating system will not be able to create a new account after this date, nor will they be able to perform activities like verification. Apart from this, WhatsApp in Windows Phone will not work after December 31, 2019.

Earlier, in June, WhatsApp shared a blog on its FAQ support page. The company had informed that WhatsApp will not work after February 1, 2020 even on Android version 2.3.7 and earlier operating systems, iPhone running on iOS 7 and earlier operating systems. But before that, the matter of turning off support in iOS 8 has been revealed. At that time, WhatsApp also said that this announcement will affect only those people who have a smartphone which is more than 6 years old.
