Weather update: Severe cold for the next 2 days in northwestern India with possibility of rain

New Delhi, 06 January: The entire North India is in the grip of cold wave these days. The Meteorological Department has predicted very cold conditions in northwestern India including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh for the next two days.

The minimum temperature is likely to be below 10 degrees with the possibility of dense fog in the morning. Sikar, Rajasthan recorded 2 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of extremely cold day in different parts of Haryana and Chandigarh on January 6-7. There is a possibility of maximum cold during the day on January 6 in different parts of Western Rajasthan.

According to the India Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of snowfall in the hilly areas of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to western disturbance from January 8. There is a possibility of hailstorm in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on 8-9 January.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu for the next five days and in Kerala for the next two days.
