Lucknow, September 27: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on the Bareilly incident, said, “A Maulana in Bareilly had forgotten who was in power. He threatened to block roads, but we said there would be no blockades, no curfews. We will teach such a lesson that even your future generations will forget rioting.”

Yogi Adityanath stressed that after 2017, his government selectively punished rioters and responded in a language they understood. This strictness established a new era of peace and security in Uttar Pradesh, marking the beginning of Uttar Pradesh’s growth story. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the “Developed Uttar Pradesh Vision @2047” program held in the capital on Saturday.

Chief Minister stated that Uttar Pradesh’s growth story is unbelievable for those who lacked the courage and were afraid to put in effort. He targeted previous governments, saying they had the opportunity, but they turned it into a vehicle for nepotism, plunder, and anarchy.

CM Yogi said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with faith in God and our own efforts, we brought Uttar Pradesh out of the sick state. Today, this growth story will bring that story to you.

Referring to the CAG report, he stated that Uttar Pradesh had a revenue surplus of โ‚น37,000 crore in 2023, and it has now increased to โ‚น70,000 crore. A state with such a large population is rapidly advancing all its development projects without any hindrance. He added that nepotism and caste politics had hindered UP’s development. Businesses were destroyed in the fire of riots, and a corrupt system had crippled the bureaucracy. But today, we have once again made Uttar Pradesh a vital part of India’s economy.

Chief Minister reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pledge for a “Developed India 2047” and said that Uttar Pradesh will lead in achieving this goal.

He said that the state discussed this topic for 27-28 hours in the Assembly. More than 300 scholars are collecting suggestions from the public. More than 600,000 suggestions have been received so far through the Samarth portal. CM Yogi stated that Uttar Pradesh’s economy, which was 12 lakh crore rupees in 2016, will reach 35 lakh crore rupees this financial year. Per capita income has increased from 45 thousand rupees to 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees.

He said that we have set a target to work rapidly in 12 sectors. Improvements are visible in areas like tourism, investment, and infrastructure. We have established the 52nd private university and are working towards providing a medical college in every district.

Taking a dig at previous governments, Yogi said that they gave a mafia in every district, but we are giving a medical college in every district.

Chief Minister proudly declared that Uttar Pradesh has become India’s growth engine. Uttar Pradesh accounts for 55% of the country’s mobile phone and electronic component production. He added that our agricultural capacity could triple.

“We have laid the foundation; now it’s time to build a strong edifice,” he said. Yogi emphasized that Uttar Pradesh will become a $6 trillion economy by 2047, and that this will be the year to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of its citizens.

He concluded by saying, “Developing Uttar Pradesh is our mantra and resolve. It should be part of our daily routine.”

DGP Rajiv Krishna, Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad, Principal Secretary Planning Alok Kumar, and others were present at the event.
