Waheeda Rehman receives Dadasaheb Phalke Award, dedicates to the film industry

New Delhi, 17 October: Veteran Bollywood actress Waheeda Rehman was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 69th National Film Awards ceremony. She looked very emotional on this occasion. She had come wearing a cream colored saree. When she reached the stage to receive the award, people expressed their feelings towards her by giving a standing ovation.

On this occasion, Waheeda Rehman along with Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur expressed gratitude to her fans and dedicated this award to the film industry.

Waheeda Rehman, who has acted in iconic popular films like Guide, Pyaasa, Kagaz Ke Phool and Chaudhavin Ka Chand, said that her favorite film is Guide. She said on this occasion that she listens to her heart.

She said that he has always been fond of doing different films.

She said that she is standing here because of this film industry, be it a film director or a musician, she is at this position because of the hard work of everyone, hence this award is dedicated to the entire film industry.
