Veer Savarkar’s grandson to sue Congress party for defamation of 100 crores

Ranjeet Savarkar said, legal advice is being sought in this regard

Mumbai, 14 February: Ranjit Savarkar, grandson of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar, has said that he will sue the Congress party for defamation of Rs 100 crore for defaming his grandfather Veer Savarkar. He is seeking legal advice in this regard.

Ranjit Savkar told reporters in Mumbai on Friday that the All India Congress Party is constantly insulting his grandfather Veer Savarkar. Recently, a derogatory remarks about Vinayak Damodar alias Veer Savarkar has been made in Shidori, the monthly mouthpiece of All India Congress.

Earlier in the Ramlila ground, Rahul Gandhi gave defamatory statements about Veer Savarkar. Even at that time Rahul Gandhi was demanded to apologize on his persona.

Ranjit Savarkar said that the Congress party is repeatedly attacking Veer Savarkar and his legacy, which will not be tolerated.

Assembly Leader of Opposition and former CM of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis has also demanded a ban on Congress party’s monthly magazine Shidori from Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. Devendra Fadnavis has said that the contribution of the fight in the freedom of Veer Savarkar cannot be forgotten.
