Uttarakhand: Heavy snowfall, severe cold in Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib and Auli

Joshimath, January 23: In Uttarakhand, after the rain in the low-lying areas and continuous snowfall in the higher areas for the last two days, severe cold has increased in the entire region.

After fresh snowfall in Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib-Lokpal and world famous snow sports center Auli-Gourson Bugyal, a significant amount of snow has accumulated.

In Badrinath Dham, there is a thick layer of snow ranging from four to five feet, while Hemkund Sahib-Lokpal and the Valley of Flowers have also been covered with snow.

The world-class skiing slopes of Auli, a world famous snow sports site, are covered with snow. GMVN’s skiing courses are also being run in Auli. Skiing lovers are constantly contacting tourists for seven and fourteen days skiing courses.

According to Kamal Kishore Dimri, Chief Instructor of GMVN Skiing, continuous skiing training is being given by the corporation, so far 33 tourists including one day tourists have been given seven and fourteen days training.
