Uttar Pradesh: Promoting industrial development is necessary for the restoration of economic activities: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow, May 13: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it is necessary to promote industrial development for the restoration of economic activities affected by coronavirus spread. For this, sectoral policies should be simplified as needed.

He said that adequate availability of land is necessary for the establishment of new industries. For this purpose, the Department of Revenue and Industrial Development should prepare the work plan for the establishment of land bank and implement it.

The Chief Minister was reviewing the lockdown system at a high level meeting held at Lok Bhavan here on Wednesday.

Work should be done by making a comprehensive work plan for employment

Yogi said that it should be ensured that migrant workers and labourers do not come on foot in any case so vehicles should be provided for them. All migrant workers should be screened and kept in quarantine. In the event of getting unwell, their treatment should be arranged.

He has also directed to expedite the work of preparing a comprehensive action plan to provide employment to the migrant workers.

Communicate with members of monitoring committees

The Chief Minister pointed out that the list of such people trapped in Uttar Pradesh due to nationwide lockdown should be made available to the concerned states for sending them to their native homes. Physical distance (social distancing) should be strictly followed in shops, mandis (Vegetable markets), bank branches etc. It should be ensured that all people wear masks.

โ€œMonitoring committees should be strengthened to make surveillance work more effective in village and city. Interaction with members of monitoring committees should be continued through the Chief Minister Helpline,โ€ CM directed.

Lockdown should be strictly enforced in Agra, Meerut and Kanpur cities

He directed to strictly implement the lockdown in Agra, Meerut and Kanpur districts.

The Chief Minister said that a large number of migrant workers are coming to the state. In view of this, the capacity of quarantine centres should be increased. To make the community kitchen system better, adequate food should be made available to all. Ensure that no one remains hungry. Concrete arrangements should be made for cleanliness and security at the Quarantine Centres.

Follow the protocol of Health Department

The Chief Minister directed that all nursing homes in the state should provide medical facilities following the protocol of Health Department related to infection of corona. Arrangement of ventilators should be ensured in all districts. Adequate availability and proper distribution of PPE kits, N-95 masks and sanitizers should be ensured in hospitals.

Provision of one lakh beds in Covid-19 hospitals

Increasing the number of Covid hospitals, one lakh beds should be provided in L-1, L-2 and L-3 Covid hospitals. Information about the health benefits of patients of Covid hospitals should be obtained through the Chief Minister Helpline.

He also stressed to increase pool testing.
