Uttar Pradesh: Ensure uninterrupted power supply during festive season, orders CM Yogi

Lucknow, October 12: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the arrangements for prevention and treatment of coronavirus infection should be continuously strengthened. However, the infection is decreasing rapidly in the state, but it is not over yet. So it is time to exercise extra caution.

He has given instructions to ensure complete adherence to the Covid protocols. Chief Minister Yogi reviewed the situation of Covid-19 in the state by holding a high-level meeting at his official residence here on Tuesday.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that in the Delta Ranking of July-August 2021 released by NITI Aayog for Aspirational Districts, seven out of eight aspirational districts of the state have made it to the top-10 in the country. This is an achievement for the state. Fatehpur, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Chitrakoot, Bahraich, Shravasti and Chandauli districts of the state are included in the Delta Ranking of July-August, 2021 released by NITI Aayog for aspirational districts.

The Chief Minister said that the time of festivals has started. In view of this, all the District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police and Superintendents of Police, while establishing better coordination, make dialogue with Durga Puja Committees, Ramlila Committees, Dharmacharyas, farmer organizations and civil society, and conduct all the programs peacefully.

He said that uninterrupted system of power supply should be maintained continuously.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is providing the protection cover of corona vaccination free of cost to all the citizens of the targeted age group. Vaccination work is being done fast in the state.

Giving instructions to conduct the Covid vaccination work in full swing, he said that the people eligible for the second dose of Corona vaccine should be vaccinated on time. In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that till last day more than 11 crore 65 lakh 55 thousand doses of corona vaccine have been administered in the state.

Amroha, Ayodhya, Badaun, Baghpat, Ballia, Basti, Bahraich, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Deoria, Etah, Etawah, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Kushinagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Mau, Mirzapur, Muzaffarnagar, Rae Bareli, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharthnagar, Sitapur, Sonbhadra, Sultanpur and Unnao do not have a single Covid patient.

The recovery rate of corona infection in the state is 98.7 percent. In the last 24 hours, one lakh 43 thousand 435 corona tests were conducted in the state. So far, eight crore six lakh five thousand 946 Covid tests have been done in the state.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the work of cleanliness, sanitization and fogging should be continued continuously to prevent various viral and bacterial diseases including dengue, diarrhea, and cholera.

He said that people should be made aware about the prevention of communicable diseases.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed to establish at least one medical college each in all 75 districts. As a result of continuous efforts, at least one medical college is becoming functional in 59 districts of the state.

Yogi added that the process should be completed expeditiously regarding the establishment of medical colleges on the basis of PPP model in 16 districts, so that the work of establishment of medical colleges could be started.
