Uttar Pradesh earns Rs 11,670 cr revenue against the target of Rs 14,303 cr in Oct

Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said on Saturday that against the target of Rs 14,303.26 crore in the October month of fiscal year 2021-22, a total revenue of Rs 11 thousand 670.12 crore was received in the heads of non-tax revenue items.

In the month of October 2020-21, a revenue of Rs 10 thousand 672.79 crore was received. Thus, Rs 997.33 crore more revenue was generated as compared to October last year.

He said that the total revenue receipt under GST in October 2021 was Rs 4208.56 crore, while the receipt in October 2020 was Rs 3795.44 crore. Under VAT, in the month of October 2021, revenue of Rs 2150.20 crore was received, while the receipt in the month of October last year was Rs 1802.83 crore.

The Finance Minister told during the press conference that a total revenue of Rs 2638.10 crore was received on account of excise, as compared to Rs 2403.20 crore in the month of October last year. The revenue receipt for October under Stamp and Registration is Rs 1868.52 crore, as against Rs 1805.79 crore in the same month last year. The revenue receipt for October 2021 under transport is Rs 580.32 crore whereas Rs 580.76 crore in October last years.

โ€œThe major item of non-tax revenue is receipt of Rs 224.42 crore in October, 2021 under land element and mining whereas in September, 2020 it was Rs 284.77 crore,โ€ he said.

Khanna informed that in the financial year 2021-22 till October 2021, under the main tax revenue, 77 thousand 655.04 crore has been achieved against the target of one lakh three thousand 833.25 crore, which is 74.8 percent of the target. In the financial year 2021-22 till October 2021, against the target of 14 thousand 244.62 crore rupees, four thousand 610 crore rupees have been received in the items of non-tax revenue receipt. Against the target of Rs 56 thousand 592.12 crore, Rs 43 thousand 709.63 crore has been achieved till October 2021 under the item of tax revenue, GST and VAT.

He said that against the target of Rs 14 thousand 993.12 crore on VAT, Rs 14 thousand 287.47 crore has been achieved, which is 95.30 percent.

The Finance Minister said that till October of the financial year 2021-22, against the target of Rs 23 thousand 629.00 crore in excise item, Rs 18 thousand 794.51 crore has been achieved. Against the target of Rs 15 thousand 061.00 crore, Rs 11 thousand 164.20 crore has been achieved under the head of stamp and registration.

He said that against the target of Rs 5306.13 crore till October, Rs 3681.08 crore has been achieved in the financial year 2021-22 under the head of transport.
