Uttar Pradesh: Covid curfew further extended till May 24

Lucknow, 15 May: The partial corona curfew implemented in Uttar Pradesh has been extended for a week to May 24.

The Yogi government is considering it effective for control over the spread of coronavirus infection.

At the same time, a monthly allowance of one thousand rupees will be given to the registered street vendors. The decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday.

The Yogi government claimed that the number of infected is declining rapidly. The Corona curfew implemented in the state was to end at 07 am on May 17. But on Saturday, the government has extended it for a week. Now curfew will remain in the entire state till 07 am on May 24. At the same time, the eligible people will be provided free ration for three months.

The government-issued Corona Guidelines will continue as before. During this time, the government in the state has instructed all the district administration to speed up vaccination and sanitization in the villages. E-commerce supplies including essential commodities, milk, and drugstore will be kept operational.

The state imposed partial curfew for the first time in the state on April 30, which was implemented till May 03. However this was extended to 06 May. This was done till May 10, extending it. Seeing the benefit of partial lockdown, the government again extended it to 17 May. But now once again it has been extended to 24 May.

It is noteworthy that 12547 new patients have been found in the state in the last 24 hours while 281 people have died.

At the same time, 28404 have gone home after being discharged from various hospitals. According to the released data, so far 17238 people have died due to corona infection in the state. The total number of active cases in the state is 177643.
