Uttar Pradesh administers over 10 crore vaccine doses, daily cases remain low

Lucknow, 29 September: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the arrangements for prevention and treatment of corona infection should be continuously strengthened. The infection is decreasing rapidly in the state but it is not over yet. It is time to exercise extra caution.

He has given instructions to ensure complete adherence to the Covid protocol. Chief Minister Yogi was reviewing the situation of Covid-19 in the state at a high level meeting at Lok Bhawan here on Wednesday.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that 08 new cases of corona infection have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. During this period 23 persons were discharged after successful treatment. At present the number of active cases of corona in the state is 159.

Aligarh, Amethi, Amroha, Auraiya, Baghpat, Ballia, Balrampur, Barabanki, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Ghazipur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Hathras, Jalaun, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Lakhimpur Kheri, Mahoba, Mainpuri, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar, Sitapur and Unnao do not have a single Covid patient.

The recovery rate of corona infection in the state is 98.8 percent. In the last 24 hours, two lakh 294 corona tests were conducted in the state. So far, seven crore 83 lakh 43 thousand 284 Covid tests have been done in the state.

Giving instructions to conduct the Covid vaccination work with full activeness, the Chief Minister said that the Covid vaccination is an important protective shield in the prevention of corona infection.

The Chief Minister was apprised that the process of Covid vaccination is going on at a fast pace in the state. Till last day, more than 10 crore 52 lakh 16 thousand doses of corona vaccine have been applied in the state.

He said that people who have taken the first dose of corona vaccine should be motivated to take the second dose on time.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised that 459 oxygen plants have become functional in the state due to the coordinated efforts of the Central and State Governments.

For the successful and effective operation of these plants, the Chief Minister directed to train and deploys adequate number of technicians and said that the process of setting up the remaining under-construction oxygen plants should be done expeditiously.

The Chief Minister also directed to go ahead with the operation of state universities being established in Azamgarh, Saharanpur and Aligarh.

He said that till the regular appointment of the Vice-Chancellor, further action should be initiated by giving the charge of the Vice-Chancellor to the concerned Divisional Commissioner.

The Chief Minister directed to immediately resolve the problems related to Aadhaar verification etc. of the beneficiary farmers of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and said that under this scheme, the eligible but so far deprived farmers should be given its benefit at the earliest. Instructions were given to take proper care of the health of the people affected by diarrhea due to consumption of contaminated water in Mubarakpur area of ​​Azamgarh.

The Chief Minister said that people should be made aware to drink clean water. People should be made aware about drinking water after boiling and filtering it.
