Lucknow, November 08: UP Congress Committee President Ajay Kumar Lallu on Friday said that he has not received any defamation notice from Uttar Pradesh’s Power Minister Shrikant Sharma. Only he knew about the notice through media. If notice is given, then legal reply will be given.

Ajay Kumar Lallu, while giving a press conference at the party’s state headquarters, said that the government of Uttar Pradesh is constantly misleading the DHFL case instead of properly presenting it to the people of the state. The provident fund’s investment of Rs 2600 crore in UPPCL is not giving the correct information. We demand that a case should be filed against the Minister of Energy, CMD, MD.

He said that the state government has only been talking about zero tolerance. The Chief Minister has been repeating the same thing here but corruption continued to happen under his nose. We have asked nine questions, why the tender process was not adopted, why PF rules were not followed, information of meetings should be excluded. Who was the meeting, permission was obtained from the Finance Department.

He said that the Power Minister is saying that the matter was not in his cognizance, then even after 2017, all the investments were being made. The entire government is involved in the matter, only under the supervision of departmental officers, such a big case cannot be done. Was the Power Minister just sitting and watching. The people and employees of the state will have to answer. A case should be filed against the Minister of Energy and he should be dismissed from his post.

Earlier, Power Minister Shrikant Sharma had informed state Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu on Thursday to send a legal notice on the allegations of rigging in the case of investment of provident fund amounting to 2600 crores. It warns of legal action if he does not apologize.
