UP: Yogi Govt likely to make Family Card in UP

Lucknow, May 21: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is contemplating to make a family card for accurate assessment of the social and economic status of the people across the state. For this, a plan will be prepared by forming an expert group at the higher level.

A spokesperson of the state government apprised that the proposed family card will be linked with the Aadhar card.

He told that this card will prove to be a big step towards providing at least one employment to a family. At present, family information is available on the basis of ration card.

The spokesperson said that the BJP had taken a pledge to provide at least one employment to a family in the next five years in its Sankalp Patra during the elections. For this, the Yogi government is constantly trying. The government is busy in fulfilling this by recruiting on various schemes and vacant posts. For this, the government needs to know about the social and employment status of all the families in the state.

He told that the Yogi government is going to take a big step in this direction. Discussions are going on to make cards of all the families of the government. All the information about the family will be recorded in this card. How many members are there in the family, what is their age, who works or is associated with employment, all this information will be recorded.

According to an official spokesperson, the family card will be linked with Aadhaar. On this basis, the government will have accurate information that in which families not a single person is connected with employment. What is the social status of the family. On this basis, the government will provide employment by linking it to its various employment schemes. This will prove to be a big step of the Yogi government in this direction. Till the time the family card of the people is not made, then the ration card will be considered as Aadhar.
