According to the order of the Transport Department, HSRP is mandatory in such vehicles from Tuesday.

Similarly, on the basis of the last digit, now high security registration plates are to be installed in the vehicles on different dates. The Transport Department has already issued an order in this regard.

In the entire state including Lucknow, the last digit of the number plate of the vehicles is “Zero” and “One”. If such vehicles are caught without HSRP, challan can be done from November 16.

Apart from this, vehicle owners who have booked HSRP, their booking receipt will be valid during checking.

In Uttar Pradesh, from November 16, vehicle owners will be subject to fines and challans for driving without HSRP.

In the Motor Vehicles Act, there is a rule for a fine of five thousand rupees for writing a number without a number plate or arbitrarily.

However, at present, there are two options for applying HSRP online. The first can be done by booking on the website of www.siam.in sitting at home and the second one can be installed by visiting the showroom of the company whose vehicle is there. For this, it is necessary to take the RC of the vehicle.

To get HSRP installed at home, an additional charge of Rs 100 for two wheelers and Rs 200 for four wheelers will have to be paid. There will be no extra charge for getting installed by visiting the showroom.

Additional Transport Commissioner Devendra Kumar apprised that no change has been made in the dates for the installation of HSRP. In such a situation, the vehicle owners should get the new registration plate installed as per the rules. Otherwise, you will have to go through the process of challan and fine in the coming days.
