Lucknow, 29 November: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch a 75-hour cleanliness campaign from December 1 in 75 districts and 750 bodies of the state.

Instructions have been issued by the Municipal Directorate of Swachh Bharat Mission to all the Municipal Commissioners in a letter to fulfill the objective within the time limit. Many places will be developed as selfie points.

A letter to this effect has been issued to all the Municipal Commissioners and Executive Officers by Neha Sharma, Director of Swachh Bharat Mission, Uttar Pradesh.

It is said in the letter that ‘Committed 75 districts 75 hours, 750 bodies’ campaign is being started from December 1.

In all the 750 bodies of the state, the sensitive places (garbage vulnerable points) are to be completely (permanently) destroyed and converted into clean places in view of garbage collection. The campaign is to be launched with planned publicity.

For successful operation of the campaign, arrangements for trucks, JCB, drones etc should be made in advance. Recording and documentation of the campaign conducted in mission mode should also be done.

Under the campaign, all the urban bodies are expected to re-mark all the Garbage Vulnerable Points. The garbage received from the eliminated Garbage Vulnerable Points should be segregated as wet and dry garbage and it should be ensured to dispose of the remaining garbage by scientific method.

It has also been directed in the letter that all the defunct GVPS should be beautified in such a way as selfie points, allotment of space to street vendors, arrangement of benches for senior citizens and planting of trees and pots etc.
