UP TET Exams: Over 84% candidates appear in UP TET exam

Prayagraj, 23 January: For the UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021, a total of 2532 examination centers were set up in the first shift and 1733 at the upper primary level in the second shift. In the second shift, 8, 73,552 candidates were issued admit cards. In which 85.72 percent candidates were present.

Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi, Secretary, Examination Regulatory Authority, UP said that the upper primary level examination was successfully conducted in the second shift from 2.30 to 5 pm at a total of 1733 examination centers in all the districts of the state. In which 85.72 percent candidates were present.

He said that in this way 83.09 percent candidates appeared in the primary level examination and 84.15 percent in both the shifts together.

He informed that about 1,62,511 room inspectors, 8530 supervisors, 1423 mobile squads and 5814 third class and about 14059 fourth class employees were engaged in the examination in the state. In Prayagraj district, the District Magistrate and other officers were engaged on a continuous tour.

The secretary said that during the examination, posts on social media were viral about the leak of question papers in many districts. Taking cognizance of which the questions printed on the viral post were found to be wrong and misleading when they were matched with the questions in the original question booklet. In this regard, action is being taken by the police against the culprit.
