UP: Sub-inspector shot dead in Agra

Agra, 24 March: The sub-inspector (SI) shot dead in Khandauli police station area of โ€‹โ€‹the district on Wednesday evening.

According to police, SI Yadav went to village to resolve the dispute between two brothers.

After this, the doctors declared him dead while undergoing treatment in the hospital. After the incident, the officers along with the police force reached the spot.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bablu Kumar said that there was a dispute between two brothers in the village of Nehru in Khandauli police station area over digging potatoes. Police were informed about this. On receiving the information, SI Prashant Yadav, posted at Khandauli police station reached the spot with the police personnel to sort out the matter.

Meanwhile, a brother fired a bullet from his pistol which hit SI Prashant Yadav.

During this time, chaos broke out in the area after the news of killing of SI Yadav spread like wildfire, however, shooter escaped soon after committing crime.

Meanwhile, constables, while rendering information to their senior officers, rushed the injured sub-inspector to the hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

After this incident, the police officer reached the spot. The SSP said that a police force has been deployed in the village. The team is engaged to search for the killer.
