UP STF raids Delhi offices of PFI, its student wing

Lucknow, 21 February: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP-STF) on Sunday raided the areas and offices of CFI, the student wing of Popular Front of India (PFI) in New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, said here officials.

UP STF IG Amitabh Yash said that after the arrests of Badruddin, Feroze Khan and PFI CFI General Secretary Rauf Sharif in Lucknow, UP STF has received information about the rapidly expanding network of CFI. Like PFI, its student wing CFI also works. Young people are recruited to it and they can commit riot-like incidents anywhere across the country.

He said that two teams were formed as soon as the UP STF received CFI information and both teams were sent to New Delhi. In this, raids are being conducted under the directions of STF officers sitting in Noida and Lucknow. However, people connected to it at most locations were not found.

Regarding the raids in New Delhi, Amitabh Yash said that in the case filed in Mat police station of Mathura district, STF has been conducting its action and raided in New Delhi. In this raid, a judicial search warrant has been obtained for searches in the offices of PFI and CFI.
