UP Govt building village road of IAS topper

Lucknow, 02 January: As per the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Keshav Prasad Maurya, CC Road is being constructed up to village Baghrajpur of IAS topper Pratibha Verma of District Sultanpur.

The construction work of 1.18 km cement concrete (CC) road and drain has started from Rahul Chauraha Lohramau Road to Baghrajpur by-pass. This route was formerly built by RES.

Maurya had announced recently that the state government will construct a paved road to the homes of the top ten candidates of UP in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination.

Pratibha Verma has secured the third position in the country and the first position among women in the UPSC examinations of the year 2019.

Maurya said that this scheme has been launched with the aim of honouring the talent of Pratibha Varma and to bring awareness and education to other students of the region.

He informed that administrative and financial approval of Rs. 123.12 lakh has been given by the State Road Fund for the road of Pratibha Verma’s village and construction work has also been started.

Deputy Chief Minister said that due to the construction of this road, it will also work as a bypass for coming from Ayodhya-Prayagraj bypass to Sultanpur city.

He apprised that presently the construction work of CC road has been completed in a length of 0.700 km and the remaining work is in progress. In the financial year 2020-21 an allocation of Rs 61.56 lakh has been made against the approved cost of Rs 123.12 lakh on this work and the work has been spent 42.00 lakh.

He said that this route is found on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj route (National Highway No-330) via Rahul Chauraha-Lohramau road to Baghrajpur. About 25 thousand population will benefit from this road, instructions have been given to complete this CC road by February 2021.
