UP gets 3 new Vande Bharat trains and extends another

Lucknow, 12 March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the groundwork for different railway projects totalling Rs 85,000 crore on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who participated virtually from his Lucknow residence, thanked Prime Minister Modi for launching three new Vande Bharat trains in Uttar Pradesh and extending the Lucknow-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat train to Prayagraj.

It is worth noting that PM Modi gave the country up to ten new Vande Bharat trains on this occasion. He also launched off the Vande Bharat trains from Lucknow to Dehradun, Patna to Lucknow, and Ranchi to Varanasi. Also, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express has been extended to Prayagraj. During the occasion, cargo trains from the designated freight route were also marked off to expedite their movement.

The CM expressed appreciation to PM Modi on social networking site X, saying the projected train projects will expedite the nation’s growth. PM Modi emphasized throughout the presentation that the country has made considerable progress toward creating a ‘Viksit Bharat.’

He emphasized the inauguration and foundation laying of projects above Rs 1 lakh crore, with railway projects alone totaling more than Rs 85 thousand crores.

PM Modi stated, “Keeping in mind popular emotions, the Central Government is increasing the number of Vande Bharat trains and their itineraries. The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will now travel to Prayagraj.

The Prime Minister underlined the importance of the new trains and the extension of the Lucknow-Varanasi route to Prayagraj in preparation for the next Kumbh Mela, which is slated for 2025.

PM Modi also addressed the Aastha special trains to Ayodhya, claiming that the government is boosting faith-based tourism in accordance with the heritage and development motto.

“Today, Bharat Gaurav trains travel on the Ramayana Circuit, Gurukripa Circuit, and Jain Yatra across the country. Aastha special trains transport Ram worshipers from all around the country to Ayodhya. “Until now, approximately 350 Aastha trains have operated, providing darshan of Shri Ram Lala to over 4.5 lakh devotees,” he stated.
