UP: Employees to get leave with 28 days salary if report come Covid-19 positive

Lucknow, 26 April: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has now directed not to deduct the salaries of workers and labourers, infected with Covid-19, working in any private institutions, apart from government employees.

Additional Chief Secretary Labour issued a letter on Monday evening, directing all the Divisional Commissioners and District Magistrates (DMs) that employees working in private firms will be given 28 days’ leave in case of Covid-19 infected. For this, it will be mandatory to give medical certificate to the employee.

It has also been said in the order that it is mandatory to give leave including wages to the employees of the establishments closed by the government. Shops and factories are temporarily closed due to orders from the state government or DMs, their employees will also be given a holiday including daily wages.
