Lucknow, 09 February: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the development work would be meaningful only when the security and law and order in the state would be better.

Without naming the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Azam Khan, the Chief Minister said that what was the situation here five years ago today? There was chaos, there was chaos, and there was hooliganism.

While addressing a public meeting in Rampur’s Bilaspur assembly constituency on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi said that the condition of the state was such that before 2017 the benefits of development schemes were consumed by friends with perfume. Our Government of Double Engine is continuously committed to the development. The program of development that is going on is a continuous process.

The Chief Minister said that elections will come and go, but every daughter should be safe. Every woman and every farmer should get respect in the state.

Describing the work done by the government of double engine in the last five years, he said that our government has worked for the development and upliftment of the poor, for the employment of the youth, for the safety of women and to take the schemes of the government to every section.

Attacking the previous governments, he said that only Rs 653 crore was paid during the BSP government in Rampur. At the same time, during the Samajwadi Party government, only Rs 1400 crore was paid to sugarcane farmers.

The Chief Minister said that our government had paid sugarcane price of Rs 2400 crore to the farmers in Rampur alone.

The Chief Minister said that his government took the first decision as soon as it came to power in 2017 to waive off the loans of 86 lakh farmers to the tune of Rs 36,000 crore. Out of this, the loan of 66 thousand farmers was waived in Rampur.

Yogi further added that two lakh 66 thousand 600 farmers were given the benefit of six thousand rupees annually in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.

Targeting the SP government, he said that before 2017 the government did not buy the product of the farmers. Even if it was bought, it was through middlemen. At the same time, today the government buys the produce directly from the farmers. The money is going directly into the account of the farmers.

In the state, the BJP government is giving pension facility of 12 thousand rupees annually to one crore old people, destitute women, disabled people.

During this, Chief Minister Yogi made a scathing attack on the earlier SP government and said that remember how pension was stopped in his government.
