UP (crime): Drug peddler’s properties worth Rs 4.06 cr seized in Barabanki

Barabanki, 01 May: The joint team of district administration and police on Sunday attached property worth Rs 04 crore 06 lakh 16 thousand 457 of drug trafficking accused.

According to the police, Mohammad Saheem alias Qasim, a resident of Tikra Usma in Zaidpur, is involved in drug smuggling on a large scale. He created property worth crores from illegal business which is in the name of himself, his wife and son.

The police informed, eight cases are registered against Saheem in Zaidpur police station under several serious sections including Seven CL. Police is taking action against those who create wealth by illegally earning money. Under this, the police took action against the accused with the cooperation of the district administration. This action has been taken under Section 14(1) of the Gangster Act and the UP Gangster and Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act.
