Prayagraj, February 21: The Additional District Judge (ADJ) Rape and POCSO Special Court has given a major ruling in the case of sexual exploitation allegations against controversial spiritual guru Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati.
The ADJ POCSO Act Judge Vinod Kumar Chaurasia has directed the Jhunsi police station to register an FIR against Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati and his disciple Swami Mukundananda Giri and investigate.
Following the court’s order, action will now be taken to register a case in Jhunsi police station. In this case, Shakumbhari Peethadheeshwar Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj had filed a case in the court under 173 (4) and demanded strict action by registering an FIR.
In this regard, on February 13, the statements of the two minors who made the allegations were recorded in the court with videography. The court also took cognizance of the police report. After recording statements and considering the police report, it reserved its decision. Following the court’s order, further legal action will now be taken in this case.
On January 28, Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust and Shakumbhari Peethadheeshwar Ashutosh Brahmachari filed a lawsuit under Section 173 (4) of the BNS after the Jhunsi police station failed to register a case.
Ashutosh Brahmachari alleged that minor children are sexually abused at Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati ashram. He claimed to have submitted a CD of the incident to the court.
Ashutosh Brahmachari stated that he has received justice from the court. He will undertake the Sanatan Yatra on foot from Prayagraj to Vidya Math, Varanasi, and will expose the truth to the public.
