Lucknow, January 6: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO)of Uttar Pradesh, Navdeep Rinwa, today released the draft voter list prepared after a special revision drive across the state.

According to this list, there are 12.55 crore voters in the state, whereas earlier there were 15.44 crore voters registered.

He informed that names of 2.89 crore voters, i.e. 18 per cent, have been deleted from the draft list released today. People can check their names in this draft voter list by visiting the Election Commission’s website and can also file their claims and objections by February 6.

2.17 Crore Voters Who Shifted

State Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa stated that of the 15.44 Crore voters registered in the state, approximately 81% of the voters on this old voter list have signed and returned their enumeration forms, while approximately 18% have not. Of these, 46.23 Lakh were deceased voters, and 2.17 Crore were transferred, or those who have moved, respectively. Similarly, 25.47 Lakh were registered in more than one location. Thus, a total of 2.89 Crore names are not included in the draft voter list.

State Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa further stated that those whose names are not included in the draft voter list released on Tuesday can fill out and submit Form 6 by February 6th so that their names can be added. The final list will be released on March 6th, 2026. For the convenience of voters, the list is also available on the Commission’s website, where anyone can check their name.
