UP: CBI raids at 18 places including Lucknow in Enemy Property case

Lucknow, June 16: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team conducted simultaneous raids in Enemy Property case at 18 places including Lucknow, Barabanki, and Kolkata on Thursday.

According to sources, the CBI team of Lucknow has raided 14 places in Lucknow, Barabanki, New Delhi, Kolkata and one place each in another district. This action has been taken on the complaint given by Abhishek Agarwal, co-custodian of enemy property.

A total of three FIRs have been registered in this case, in which Lucknow unit has registered two and Ghaziabad unit has registered one. This FIR has been registered against the then Acting Enemy Property-cum-Custodian, Samandar Singh Rana, Acting Enemy Property-cum-Custodian, Utpal Chakraborty, Lucknow and Ramesh Chandra Tiwari, Chief Supervisor of the Enemy Property Custodian Office.

According to the aspects found so far in the CBI action, the documents of enemy property have been found correct in the investigation. At the same time, action is going on continuously on the complaint from the co-custodian. In this case, all other aspects are yet to come to the fore.
