90.42 percent students passed in high school and 80.38 percent in 12th – 87.30 percent boys and 93.76 percent girls in high school, 75.04 percent boys and 86.32 percent girls in intermediate
Prayagraj, April 23: The result of the High School and Intermediate Examination 2026 of the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh (UP Board) has been declared with 90.42 percent students have passed in high school and 80.38 percent students have passed in intermediate. Kashish Verma from Sitapur topped in class 10th and Shikha Verma from Sitapur topped in class 12th.
Director of Secondary Education-Chairman Dr Mahendra Dev and Secretary of UP Board Bhagwati Singh declared the results of class 10th and 12th examinations of the board at the board headquarters on Thursday at 4 pm.
The Director of Secondary Education informed that the high school and intermediate examinations were held from 18 February to 12 March at a total of 8033 examination centres. This year 53 lakh 37 thousand 773 candidates had registered for high school and intermediate. Out of these, 26 lakh 01 thousand 381 students appeared in class 10th and 24 lakh 86 thousand 072 students appeared in class 12th.
He informed that the UP Board had got the answer sheets evaluated at 254 centres between 18 March and 4 April. The UP Board Secretary stated that 13,43,524 boys and 12,57,857 girls appeared for the high school examination. Of these, 11,72,862 boys and 11,79,319 girls passed. The pass percentage for boys was 87.30 percent and for girls it was 93.76 percent. A total of 92,594 examiners evaluated high school answer sheets.
He further added that similarly, a total of 24,86,072 candidates appeared for the 12th grade. Of these, 13,09,397 were boys and 11,76,675 were girls. The pass percentage for boys was 75.04 percent and for girls it was 86.32 percent. A total of 55,973 examiners completed the evaluation of intermediate answer sheets in two phases.
