UP: Bangarmau assembly seat declared vacant, Kuldeep Singh Sengar loses assembly membership

Lucknow, February 25: Pradip Kumar Dubey, the principal secretary to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, has issued a notification on Tuesday, declaring the Bangarmau assembly seat vacant. With this, the membership of Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been terminated.

According to Principal Secretary Pradeep Kumar Dubey, on December 20, 2019, Kuldeep Singh Sengar was sentenced in Unnao rape case. His membership has been terminated from this day, which is now being reported. With the termination of the membership of Kuldeep Sengar, the Bangarmau assembly seat in Unnao district has become vacant.

Significantly, Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Tis Hazari court convicted in Unnao rape and kidnapping case. Kuldeep Senger will have to remain in jail for his life. Along with this, the court also imposed a fine of 25 lakhs on him.
