UP: 3 gangsters killed within 5 days by UP Police

Lucknow, 13 September: Under the zero tolerance policy against crime of the Yogi government, within five days, three gangsters carrying a reward of one lakh rupees each have been killed in the police encounter.

Meanwhile, Special Terrorism Forceโ€™s (STF) Varanasi unit Deputy SP Shailesh Pratap Singh said that a notorious criminal, who was absconding for four years, had an encounter with the STF in Bariasanpur of Chaubepur area on Monday afternoon. There was fierce firing from both sides. The miscreant was killed by the STF, while his accomplice is absconding.

According to Deputy SP, dozens of cases were registered against gangster Deepak Verma in nearby districts including Varanasi.

Main accused of Kajal murder case killed in encounter

In Gorakhpur district, on September 10, SWAT, Surveillance, SOG and Gagaha police station killed Vijay Prajapati in an encounter near Gobarhia Pulia. He was the main accused in the murder of Kajal, daughter of Rajiv Nayan Singh, resident of Jagdishpur Bhaluan in Gagaha.

According to the police, on the night of August 20 last, Vijay along with his associates was beating up Rajiv Nayan Singh. During this, Rajiv’s daughter Kajal also reached there and she opposed the beating, the miscreants did not agree. In such a situation, Kajal started making videos of beating, due to which Vijay shot Kajal in fit of furry. Later Kajal died during treatment in Lucknow.

Similarly, on the night of September 9 of Jaunpur district, at around two o’clock in three districts, one lakh prize gangster Prashant Pandey alias Kallu Pandey, who became synonymous with terror, was injured in an encounter by the police. The doctors declared him brought dead in the hospital. Prashant was a resident of Amarthu Dadhiya Kotwali Kadipur in Sultanpur district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Sahni told that he was a history-sheeter, 29 cases like robbery, dacoity, murder, theft, extortion, attempt to kill were registered against him. Cases are registered in different police stations of Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar and Jaunpur districts.

Meanwhile, a reward of 50 thousand rupees was announced on the history sheeter from the level of IG Range Ayodhya and 25-25 thousand rupees from Jaunpur and Ambedkar Nagar police. This amount will now be given as a prize to the police team that did the encounter.
