Unnao Case: Both accused sent to 14-day judicial custody

Unnao, 20 February: The two accused, who were arrested in the connection of the murder of an aunt and cousin (Bua-Bhatizi) in Baburaha village in the district, have been sent to jail for 14 days in judicial custody.

Meanwhile, second accused, an investigation into an alleged Aadhaar card claiming to be a minor, was found to be adult.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vinod Kumar Pandey said in a statement released on Saturday that both the accused, arrested in Unnao murder case, have been sent to jail in judicial custody.

โ€œArapit, one of the two accused arrested, claimed himself as a minor. After this, the police sent him to a juvenile home. But when his Aadhar card is thoroughly investigated, he is found to be an adult, due to which he has also been sent to judicial custody,โ€ ASP Pandey informed.

It is noteworthy that the police have disclosed the case of killing of aunt and niece in Baburaha village of the district.

The Police claimed that in unilateral love, main accused Vinay together with his partner mixed pesticides and gave water to one girl. Apart from that, this water was also drunk by two more girls. Due to which both were killed by this while another girl is hospitalized in Kanpur.

The Police claimed that an accused has admitted his crime and told that he had carried out the crime. However, a girl whom he wanted to kill has survived. She is undergoing treatment.
