Lucknow, September 03: Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL) will keep Ultraviolet (UV) sanitisation boxes at all metro stations to prevent infection of corona virus. This ultraviolet box will be capable to sanitize 2,000 ticket tokens at a time.

UPMRCL DGM (Ist) Hitesh Chandani told on Thursday that ultra violet boxes will be placed at all metro stations in Lucknow.

โ€œBy inserting the token in the box, the virus will be neutralised by Ultra Violet. Each Ultra Violet box can have 2,000 tokens sanitized at one time.

He informed that health desks will be constructed at all metro stations. Travellers of metro trains will be given initial advice here if needed.

DGM I informed that all the preparations will be completed before the Metro starts operating from September 07 so that the Covid-19 guidelines can be followed completely. Two gates will be open at all metro stations of Lucknow. Sanitizer will be placed on both. Sanitizing all passengers will be mandatory.

โ€œIn addition, all stations and trains will be regularly sanitized to prevent the spread of corona virus. Travellers will be able to travel as before with a Go Smart Card and a token,โ€ he told.
