Tight security across Uttar Pradesh in view of Muslim festival Eid-al-Fitr

Lucknow, April 10: The Muslim festival ‘Eid-al-Fitr’ will be celebrated across India on April 11. Uttar Pradesh Police is maintaining vigilance regarding Eid. Tight security arrangements have been made for the prayers held in Eidgah and mosques.

Director General of Police Prashant Kumar, while wishing all the people of the state on the Eid festival, has appealed to celebrate it with brotherhood. People can take help of police if any kind of situations arise. UP Police is very serious about their security.

He has instructed all police officers and employees to be alert regarding the prayers on Eid. He said that in view of the festival, crowds of buyers have started gathering in the markets. Shopping happens till late night. In view of the crowd, all police station in-charges have been instructed to remain alert and patrol. Fire brigade and BDS team have also been asked to be deployed in the market.

He also said that security arrangements regarding prayers in mosques and Eidgahs should be tight. Drone cameras and foot marches should be carried out in sensitive and vulnerable areas. While inspecting the routes of the procession, if any dispute arises, it should be resolved with the help of religious gurus and peace committees. Social media should be closely monitored. Strict action should be taken against those who disturb the peace.
