Tiger fatalities in UP’s Dudhwa caused by forest personnel’ negligence: Minister

Lakhimpur Kheri, June 12: Forest Minister Arun Saxena’s probe into the recent tiger killings in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri has shown that the unfortunate tiger deaths in Dudhwa Tiger Reserve were caused by forest authorities’ ineptitude.

The deaths of four tigers in one and a half months, three of which occurred in the previous 10 days, have sparked outrage in the state.

According to the authorities, Dudhwa Tiger Reserve Field Director B Prabhakar has been dismissed from his job following the dismissal of the top wildlife warden.

According to reports, Lalit Verma, Chief Conservator of Forests in Bareilly, has been chosen as the next Field Director of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve.

According to sources, suitable action will be taken against other Dudhwa Tiger Reserve authorities and personnel who have been deemed remiss in their responsibilities.

The government is determined to hold all relevant parties accountable and to prevent such occurrences from occurring in the future. The tigers’ deaths aroused great outrage and worry among the general populace.

In response to the seriousness of the situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions for a thorough investigation.
