Lucknow, 05 December: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said here on Tuesday that those who moan in the name of caste weaken the society and the country.

He said that before 2017, deaths due to encephalitis in the state used to expose the faces of such people. In 40 years, more than fifty thousand children died due to encephalitis but people doing casteism continued to do vote bank politics, which shows their insensitivity.

Chief Minister Yogi said that today encephalitis is completely under control in Uttar Pradesh. Deaths due to this have reduced by 96 to 98 percent. He said that lecturers, assistant professors, associate professors and principals of colleges related to medical education and AYUSH should sit in OPD regularly. Prepare case studies of all the patients you see. Also promote research in medical education.

Yogi today addressed the program organized under ‘Mission Employment’ at Lok Bhavan. During this, he said that before 2017, leave aside development in Uttar Pradesh, the people here were facing an identity crisis. The result of the work done by our government in the last six and a half years is that today the people here do not hide their identity, but even those who are not from Uttar Pradesh, call themselves from Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Yogi said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh has greatly improved its health services in the last six and a half years. From 1947 to 2017, only 12 medical colleges could be built in the state. Today there are 65 medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh, many of which have become functional.

He said that due to the double engine government in the state, the speed of development has increased manifold. AIIMS of Rae Bareli and Gorakhpur have started functioning. Today, along with allopathy, traditional medicine is also being promoted in the state. After the formation of the Ministry of AYUSH by the Government of India, Uttar Pradesh also formed the Department of AYUSH. Today, Uttar Pradesh has AYUSH University, which is rapidly progressing the process of giving recognition to new colleges.

Yogi said that paramedics and staff nurses are the backbone of the health services of the state. Their behavior with the patient should be such that the patient always remembers them after recovery. He said that today malaria, chikungunya, kala azar and dengue are completely under control in the state. The figures before and after 2017 are witness to this.

Chief Minister Yogi said that the results of the work done by our government for the betterment of health services in the state are also in front of us. Under Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana, health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh is being given to 10 crore people of the state.

Yogi said dialysis facility has been made available in 72 districts of the state. ICUs have been established in every district. In order to advance the best health facilities, efforts to reduce the response time of ambulance services 108 and 102 to the minimum level have yielded good results.

He said that for a radical change in the field of medical education, Atal Medical University is being built in Lucknow in the name of revered Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji.

It is noteworthy that Yogi today distributed appointment letters to 278 assistant teachers, 2142 staff nurses and 48 AYUSH medical teachers under Mission Rojgar.

During this, to further improve the health services of the state, he also flagged off 674 ambulances and 81 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances under the Emergency Ambulance Service.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State for AYUSH Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’, Minister of State for Medical Education Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Principal Secretary Medical Education Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, Principal Secretary AYUSH Leena Johri and other dignitaries were present in the program.
