Supreme Court allows Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Iltija to visit Srinagar

New Delhi , Sep 05: The Supreme Court allowed Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Iltija to visit Srinagar and meet her mother. Mehbooba Mufti has been under house arrest for the last one month. The daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Wednesday that she wants to meet her mother who has been detained since most of the provisions of Article 370 are abolished and the authorities should Instructions should be given to give permission.Iltija said that she is worried about her mother’s health as she has not met him for a month.ย 

The Supreme Court on Thursday, hearing the petition of Iltija, said that she can meet her mother Mehbooba Mufti. Mehbooba Mufti has been under house arrest. The Supreme Court allows Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter Iltija to visit Srinagar

In favour of Iltija, Nitya Ramakrishnan told the court that she was not allowed to move out of the house till 22 August, so Iltija left his house. At the same time, the Attorney General said that Mehbooba Mufti and her sister had come here twice. Iltija should also meet the District Magistrate for its permission. On Iltija’s petition, the Attorney General said that such petitions are filed for other purposes.
