Sambhal, November 23: The Sambhal Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Iqbal Mahmood has targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said it is difficult to defeat Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the West Bengal and also questioned his statement about ‘jungle raj’ in Bihar.
Speaking to the media at his residence in the Raisatti police station area of โโSambhal, MLA Mahmood said that even last time, Prime Minister Modi made a lot of efforts to defeat Mamata Banerjee in Bengal.
He said that Didi (Mamata Banerjee) is a down-to-earth woman leader and it is not easy to defeat her. She is very hardworking and the public still has good feelings for her.
He further added that the Governor, Prime Minister, and Home Minister are all after Mamata Banerjee’s government to defame her, but she will not bow down to anyone.
SP MLA Mahmood said that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi built India, while the current government is only taking its own name.
