Bareilly, July 20: A video that went viral on social media has created a stir in the city’s politics. In the viral video, Samajwadi Party’s Cantt Vidhan Sabha president Rohit Rajput is seen using indecent language about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After the video surfaced, Baradari police has registered a case against the SP leader late Saturday evening.
According to the information, the video is of a program of senior SP leader Dr Anees Beg. In the video, SP leader Rohit Rajput is saying that “I do not hoist the saffron flag on the roof of my house, nor do I hoist the Jai Shri Ram flag. I am irritated by both.” Along with this, he is also seen calling the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister ‘demons’ from the stage.
After this viral video surfaced, Rajveer Kashyap, resident of Madhinath associated with Hanuman Dal, lodged a complaint in Baradari police station. They say that this statement of the SP leader has not only hurt their religious sentiments, but there is also a danger of tension spreading in the society.
Baradari police station in-charge Dhananjay Pandey said on Sunday that the viral video has been sent for forensic investigation. Further legal action will be taken after the report comes.
