Lucknow, July 20: Another gang member of Jamaluddin alias Changur, the prime accused in the illegal Islamic conversion case, has been arrested by the UP ATS from Lucknow on Sunday.
ATS officials said that Rajesh Kumar Upadhyay has been arrested from his residence in Chinhat in Lucknow. He is originally from Varanasi. Opening probe has found that Rajesh used to buy land for Changur. Also, he used to manage the case in the court at the behest of Changur. Changur has also given huge funds to Rajesh. ATS has produced him in the court and is engaged in further action.
It is worth mentioning that the investigating agency is active in the case of illegal conversion. Information about his close ones is being gathered and they are being arrested. At the same time, the ED has also intensified the investigation regarding the funding from abroad.
