So far, 9.78 lakh people travelled in 6 days with 6,731 UPSRTC buses

Lucknow, 02 September: Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) is continuously increasing the number of its buses in view of the convenience of passengers during unlock system across the state.

Due to this, the number of passengers travelling daily is also increasing.

Additional Chief Secretary, Home Awanish Kumar Awasthi said on Wednesday that 9,78,563 people travelled through 6,731 buses on roadways yesterday. Earlier on Monday, 9.72 lakh people travelled in 6 days from 6,699 buses.

He said that the police department has registered an FIR against 2, 13,946 people under Section 188 so far. So far, 70,508 vehicles have been seized in intensive checking of 1, 41, 59,667 vehicles in the state. A violation fine of Rs 73, 13, 80,109 was recovered during the checking operation. A total of 4, 34,117 vehicle permits have been issued for essential services.

He said that 425 people have been arrested by registering 890 FIRs against 1,207 people for black marketing and hoarding. So far, action has been taken under Fake News taking cognizance of 2426 cases. So far, 26 people have been arrested, registering 89 FIRs in the state.

Awasthi further informed that 87, 80,905 people have been identified in the risk zone of the state. The number of corona positive people in these risk areas is 42,330 and the number of institutional quarantined people is 34,010.

Adding further, ACS Home apprised, milk has been distributed through 16,182 door step delivery milk booth-man against the estimated population of 92, 73,792 of the hotspots in the state. A total of Rs 338.99 crore has been paid to 33.90 lakh people on the basis of one thousand rupees for 18.25 lakh labourers related to construction works, 8.91 lakh laborers in urban areas and 6.74 lakh destitute persons in rural areas. The second installment has also been paid to 17.14 lakh workers associated with construction works.

In respect of Covid-19, 1,19,525 out of 1,19,937 calls received on toll free helpline number 1070 of the Integrated Disaster Control Center established at the state level in the Relief Commissioner’s office have been settled.
