So far, 49,347 active cases, 4,583 infected by virus in 24 hours in UP

Lucknow, August 12: The number of active cases of highly contagious disease coronavirus in the state of Uttar Pradesh has now increased to 49,347 in all 75 districts.

So far 84,661 people have been sent back to their respective homes after being cured.

However, in the last twenty four hours, 4,583 new cases of infection have been reported.

At the same time, 2,230 people have died from this infection.

97,911 corona samples tested on Tuesday

State’s Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health Amit Mohan Prasad said on Wednesday that a total of 97,911 swab samples of infected people were tested in various laboratories of the state on Tuesday. The state still has the highest number of tests being conducted daily. With this, the total test data has so far crossed 34 lakhs in the state and 34, 12,346 corona samples have been tested.

17,055 samples tested through 3,247 pools

He said 17,055 samples were tested through 3,247 pools on Tuesday. Of these, five samples per pool were tested through 3,083 pools, with 522 pools reported being positive. At the same time, ten samples were tested per pool through 164 pools, out of which 23 pools reported positive.

Positivity 4.8 percent in August despite rising infection

Additional Chief Secretary Medical and Health said that the percentage of positivity in the tests conducted between August 01 and August 11 is 4.8 percent. This month also our positivity remains below 05 percent. Despite the high number of infections, we have been able to do so.

โ€œThe Government of India is said to have tried to reduce the positivity by 05 percent. Kanpur district, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Maharajganj and Lucknow are among the five districts where maximum positives were observed in the state. The five districts with the lowest positivity are Hathras, Baghpat, Mahoba, Kasganj, Bulandshahr,โ€ Prasad added.

Health teams reach among 8.51 crore people

Health department teams are constantly reaching out and surveying people in various fields. So far 2, 40,833 teams have surveyed 1, 69, 12,280 crore households in 53,913 areas. Under this, medical screening of 8, 51, 85,977 people has been done.

21,758 people undergoing treatment in home isolation

He informed that presently 21,758 people in the state are availing the facility of home isolation i.e. treatment at home. So far 39,678 people have undergone Covid-19 treatment in home isolation. Of these, 17,920 people have been discharged on completion of treatment time.

ACS Health added further, at the same time 1,523 people are admitted in various private hospitals, 196 patients L-1 plus semiped facility and the rest of state government’s system of L-1, L-2 and L-3.

So far 61,831 Covid help desks set up in the state

A total of 61,831 ‘Covid Help Desk’ have been established in the state. More than 6, 43,991 symptomatic people were identified through them. Oximeters and thermometers are available in these. Adequate availability of sanitizer has been ensured in all these units.

Phone calls have been made to 8.42 lakh people regarding the Aarogya Setu app

The alerts received by those who downloaded the ‘Aarogya Setu’ app in the state are being called through the control room and the Chief Minister Helpline-1076. So far, 8, 42,800 people have been advised to be cautious over call.

24,663 people have availed benefits from e-Sanjeevani portal so far

Along with this, people of the state are constantly using the e-Sanjeevani portal, from this portal, they can consult the doctors sitting at home. On Tuesday, 1,523 people availed the facility. At the same time, 24,663 people of the state have benefited from it. Still people of Bahraich district are at the forefront of using it. Apart from this, people of Hardoi and Meerut are also using it more.
