On this, Diljit Dosanjh said, “We completed the shooting of this film in February. The situation was fine at that time, but after that a lot happened and many things went out of our hands, so the makers decided to release the film outside the country instead of releasing it in India.”
Diljit said in a social media post, “For your information, we shot this film before the current situation in our country, before whatever happened in the country and at that time there was no ban on any Pakistani artist. We stand with our country in this delicate time, so we will not release this film in India.
After the attack in Pahalgam, the Indian government banned all Pakistani artists in India. At that time, the film ‘Abir Gulal’ starring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Indian actress Vaani Kapoor also got embroiled in controversy. The film was banned due to this incident.
