Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar agree on Congress power-sharing formula

New Delhi, 18 January: Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar, both contenders for the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka, have agreed on the Congress leadership formula. Congress sources gave this information.

Siddaramaiah will be given the post of Chief Minister and DK Shivakumar as Deputy Chief Minister with some big portfolios. Its official announcement can be made in Bengaluru this evening. The swearing-in ceremony will take place in Bengaluru on May 20. Its preparations have started.

Meanwhile, there is information that security forces have been deployed outside the residence of Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala had said that churning is going on in Karnataka. Whenever the party takes a decision, the media will be told officially.
