Ayodhya, May 26: For the construction of a grand Shri Ram temple on the Ram Janmabhoomi site, the work of leveling of the entire campus including the Garbha Griha, under the leadership of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust (SRJTKT), has gained momentum.

After the inspection of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das of Trust President Maniram Das Cantonment, the initial work on the ground of construction at the birth place campus is seen boom. Due to the nationwide lockdown, three JCBs, one crane and just 10 labourers are working in proper leveling.

According to the information received from the trust sources, it may take several months to start the main construction work of Ram Janmabhoomi temple.

However, on the permission of District Magistrate (DM) Anuj Kumar Jha, due to non-availability of labourers and equipment, the work of leveling is being done in a slow pace.

In the past, many antiquities were discovered while levelling the ground. The temple will be constructed on a total of 67 acres of land as per the verdict given by the Supreme Court of India.

It is believed that the work of levelling the ground will be finished in two months if fewer workers are employed.

However, the work of cutting and removing iron barricades installed by the government in the Ramlala complex has also started.

It is worth mentioning that on Monday, after 28 years, Trust President Maniram Cantonment Mahant Nritya Gopal Das paid obeisance to Ramlala and inspected the ongoing leveling work at Ram Janmabhoomi site.

Being the trust chairman, it is considered necessary to seek the permission of the chairman on all the works that take place in the Ram Janmabhoomi site.

The work of leveling on the Ram Janmabhoomi is going on under the care of Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Trust since May 11. Leveling is believed to be the first step towards temple construction.
