Several rivers flowing above danger mark in UP

Lucknow, August 02: Relief works are being actively carried out using 836 boats in the flood-affected areas of 14 districts of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the flood situation in the state is being continuously monitored. At present, there is no worry of any kind reflected anywhere. With this, all the existing embankments are safe.

The Sarada river at Palia Kala (Lakhimpur Kheri), Rapti River-Birdghat (Gorakhpur), Rapti River-Rapti Barrage (Shravasti), Saryu River-Elginbridge (Barabanki) are flowing above the danger-level mark in the state.

Similarly, the Saryu River in Ayodhya (Ayodhya) and the Saryu (Ghaghra) River-Turtipar (Ballia) are flowing above the danger-level mark.

According to the state government, a total of 456 villages in the districts of Barabanki, Ayodhya, Kushinagar, Gorakhpur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Azamgarh, Gonda, Basti, Mau, Santkbir Nagar, Sitapur, Siddharnagar and Balrampur are currently affected by the floods.
