Security of Indians in Israel top priority: External Affairs Ministry

New Delhi, April 4: India gives top priority to the safety of Indians sent to Israel under the G2G agreement. In this context, India has requested the Israeli authorities to take care of their safety and well-being.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal gave this information in the weekly press conference on Thursday. He said that currently, 18,000 Indians are working. Their security is India’s top priority. The first team has gone to Israel under the G2G agreement. “Their safety is important for us. We have urged the Israeli authorities to do their best to take care of their safety and well-being.”

It is noteworthy that under the agreement signed at the government level, Indian citizens are being sent to Israel for skilled work. They participate in the construction work happening there.

Regarding the Indians trapped in the Taiwan earthquake, the spokesperson said that the Indian Mission was unable to contact two people but now they have been contacted and they are safe.
