‘Saving everyone’s life is our first priority’: Gadkari, Dhami takes stock of tunnel rescue ops

Uttarkashi, 19 Nov: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived at the spot to monitor the continuing rescue and relief operations for the 40 workers trapped in the Uttarkashi tunnel, a piece of which fell in earlier. At Silkyara, they were escorted by Uttarakhand Chief Secretary SS Sandhu.

“We are working on all the possibilities available,” CM Dhami said of the continuing relief and rescue activities. Here, many specialist teams are at work…” CM Dhami stated that the state government is prepared to assist all authorities involved in the rescue mission.

“Our first aim is to save everyone’s life… For this, the state government is prepared to provide all necessary assistance to all authorities… “I will pray to God that they are rescued at the earliest, since their predicament worsens by the day…,” CM Dhami stated.
