Saarthi India organises ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign in slum area

Lucknow, February, 24: Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) ‘Saarthi India’ on Monday organised a Swachh Bharat drive under Swachh Bharat Mission programme in slum area near Vinay Khand-3 at Gomti Nagar in Lucknow.

During a cleanliness campaign, members of the NGO and dwellers in slum area took part in the swachh campaign.

President of the NGO, Sandhya Saxena told The Lucknow Journal that the members of the NGO, after the conclusion of the drive, highlighted the benefit of the cleanliness of our surrounding.

“We apprised the people including children and women residing in slum that if we keep our places spic and span, we economise by investing less in purchasing of medicines because when our surroundings will be clean, we will not get sick frequently. We will continue to hold Swachh Bharat campaign in future,” addded Saxena.

Members who participated in the swachh campaign were Ojasi Saxena, Abhudhay Saxena, Navneet Srivastava, Pankaj Shukla, Ashish Pratap Singh, Riteesh and Alka Singh.
