Rhea Chakraborty confesses to ‘Procuring Drugs’ to NCB

Mumbai, September 06: In connection with drug-angle in the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case, actress Rhea Chakraborty was grilled by the sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday for 6 hours continuously.

The NCB has issued summons to the actress for questioning again on Monday.

NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede said that Rhea had reached the NCB office late today resulting in the inquiry could not be completed today. Rhea is again called for questioning at 12 noon on Monday.

According to sources, the NCB started interrogated at 12 noon on Sunday.

On the occasion, a total of 4 officers including NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra, Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede, a female officer were asking to Rhea about the drug connection.

One of these officers was recording the actress’s reply and after that her signature was also being taken.

The NCB had questioned Rhea on drug peddler Zaid Vilatra through Showik, Dipesh and Samuel on this, Rhea Chakraborty said that she had ordered the drugs for her boy friend late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Meanwhile, the NCB also questioned Rhea about taking drugs on her own on which she answered ‘no’.

Similarly, Rhea also asked about purchasing drugs by her brother Showik, Samuel and Deepesh, to which Riya replied ‘yes’.

In this way, Rhea has admitted before the NCB that it was on her knowledge that Showik, Samuel and Deepesh used to procure drugs from drug peddlers.

On Monday, the NCB will interrogate the prime accused in Sushant’s death case Rhea in this case by putting her in front of Showik, Samuel and Deepesh.

After this, NCB can also arrest Rhea Chakraborty in this case. The reason for which the evidence based on which NCB arrested her brother Showik, Samuel and Deepesh, almost the same evidence has been found by the NCB against the actress.

According to sources, NCB has earlier arrested Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Zaid Vilatra, Abdul Sajit Parihar, Ahmed Kejan, Karan Arora and Abbas in connection with buying and possessing drugs.

Among them, Karan Arora, Ahmed Kejan and Abbas have been granted bail. The NCB is closely interrogating Showik, Samuel, Sajit Parihar, Dipesh Sawant in this case.
