New Delhi, October 07: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh left for France on Monday to bring the first Air Force Rafale aircraft. During this time, the Defense Minister will also meet President of France Emmanuel Mancro on Tuesday morning. France will deliver Rafale aircraft to India on Tuesday itself. Since the same day is the festival of Dussehra in India, keeping this in mind, Rajnath Singh will also perform arms worship in France.

Rajnath Singh wrote on twitter,

India is taking Rafale to increase the capacity of the Air Force on its eastern and western fronts. The Air Force will deploy one squadron each of Rafale at Ambala in Haryana and Hashimara Airpace in West Bengal.

However, Rajnath Singh will be assigned the first Rafale aircraft during an event held in Marignac, France. French Defense Minister Florence Parle will also be present in the program. During this time there will also be an annual defense dialogue between France and India in which the defense relations of the two countries will be discussed. On Wednesday, Rajnath Singh will address a gathering of the CEO of the French defense industry. It is being told that the Defense Minister can appeal to these officers to become partners in Make in India.

It is noteworthy that arms worship is an old tradition among Hindus in which warriors worship their weapons. It is being told that even when Rajnath Singh was the Home Minister, he used to worship arms on Dussehra during his then tenure. Now, even after becoming the defense minister, he will continue his tradition and do arms worship by flying in Rafale aircraft.
