Prostitution racket busted in Lucknow, 4 girls held

Lucknow, 21 December: The Lucknow Police busted a prostitution racket being run from a hotel situated at Vibhuti Khand in Gomti Nagar area on Monday, police said.

However, the police detained four girls and a manager of the hotel, while the kingpin of the sex racket and other members escaped from the scene.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjeev Suman said that Vibhutikhand police station in-charge Chandrashekhar conducted a raid at Hotel Rudra Inn where racket of flesh trade was running. The police arrested Vivek, the manager of the hotel and taking four girls into custody from here.

During an interrogation, the girls said that they were brought by the hotel manager Vivek. He forced us into a flesh trade racket. Its kingpin is Rajesh while Arvind, Diwan, a woman Poonam and Deepak are members. With this work, Vivek Pandey and his gang members make big money from customers.

During the police action, the gangster escaped on the spot along with his other members.

 The Deputy Commissioner of Police informed that further action is being taken by the police by arresting the hotel manager. At the same time, the team has been engaged for the arrest of other absconding accused.
